TERMS

Use Gavel fairly. Keep the record real.

These terms describe the rules for using Gavel. Gavel is built around independent gaming opinions, sealed results and one player = one vote.

Last updated: September 29, 2026Applies to gavelarena.com
Gavel is an evolving online service. These terms describe the currently deployed product and do not promise uninterrupted availability or a specific future feature set.

1. Your account

You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Your public-facing identity is your Gavel handle; your account email is not intended to be displayed as your public identity.

Do not create or coordinate accounts to manipulate votes, Jury decisions, Rivals, Challenges, reports, moderation, or other community signals.

2. One player = one vote

Gavel is designed so activity, roles, streaks, status, badges or cosmetics do not multiply a player's voting power. Attempts to bypass vote, Jury, report, rate-limit or sealed-result controls are not permitted.

3. Community content

You may submit gaming Cases, arguments and other supported community content. You remain responsible for what you submit. Do not post unlawful content, targeted harassment, hateful abuse, sexual content that is inappropriate for the service, spam, deceptive material, or content whose primary purpose is disruption.

By submitting content for publication, you give Gavel permission to host, display, moderate, format and distribute that content as needed to operate the service. You keep any rights you already hold in your original content.

4. Moderation

Community Cases and arguments can pass through automated and/or human moderation. Reports do not automatically remove content; staff may review reported material and take action where appropriate. Gavel may reject, request changes to, restrict or remove content that conflicts with these terms or the Community Guidelines.

5. Recorded activity

Votes, approved arguments, published Cases, Jury participation and related product activity can contribute to your Gavel record. Some approved or published contributions may remain in an anonymized public or moderation record after account deletion, while private account data is handled according to the Privacy Policy and the implemented deletion flow.

6. Availability and changes

Features may be fixed, changed, limited or retired as the service evolves. Temporary outages, maintenance or data-repair operations may occur. Nothing in these terms guarantees a particular uptime, response time, rank, audience size or future reward.

7. Account action

Access may be restricted when reasonably necessary to protect Gavel, other players, moderation systems or the integrity of community signals. You can use the account Data & Privacy controls to request your supported export or account deletion, subject to the product's safety checks such as FINAL OWNER protection.

8. Questions and support

Use the Support page for the currently available recovery, reporting and account-data paths. Gavel does not promise a 24/7 support service or a guaranteed response time.
